The delegation of three led by Dr. Tai-Ping Sun, President of Nan Kai University of Technology, visited Sanda University on November 26, 2019. Dr. Yiyi Chen, President, and Mr. Huibin Pan, Vice President of Sanda University received and met with the delegation. Ms. Li Li, Assistant to the President and Director of Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Ms. Yan Xu, Dean of School of International Medical Technology and Mr. Zhengxin Zhou, Person in Charge of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering also attended the meeting.
Dr. Yiyi Chen first welcomed on behalf of Sanda Dr. Tai-Ping Sun and his delegation to come to visit Sanda campus, and looked forward to further exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions through this visit and discussions. During the meeting, the two sides introduced the basic situation of their own institutions; Dr. Yan Xu and Dr. Zhengxin Zhou also respectively introduced the majors offered and faculty situation, and put forward suggestions for the future cooperation between the two sides in the fields of Elderly Care, Mechanical Engineering, and etc.
Through the discussions, the two sides reached a consensus on future exchanges and cooperation. In addition to Mechanical Engineering and Nursing related majors, the two sides could further expand exchanges and cooperation in the majors of Tourism Management, Food Safety and others, and jointly explore the possibilities of students and faculty exchanges between the two institutions.
Dr. Tai-Ping Sun expressed his gratitude to Sanda University for its warm reception and also expressed his support and expectation for the implementation of relevant exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions at the earliest possible time. The presidents of both sides signed the Memorandum of Agreement on behalf of their respective institutions after the meeting.
After the signing ceremony, President Tai-Ping Sun and his delegation were invited to visit Sanda College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and School of International Medical Technology. The visiting guests spoke highly of our institution's overall environment and investment in teaching-learning facilities.
Nan Kai University of Technology, located in Nan Tou County, Central Taiwan, is a private university of science and technology. It takes pragmatism, innovation, macrocosm and general knowledge as its educational benchmark, and aims at cultivating students to become practical talents who possess high morality and good intellectuality, as well as the capability of using both their hands and brains. Mechanical Engineering, Well-being Technology and Service Management (in Elderly Care) are the institution's strong and dominant fields of studies.
Mr. Shaozhong Zhu, Chairman of the Board, Dr. Yiyi Chen, the president, and Ms. Ying Chen, Dean of School of Information Science and Technology, were invited to visit Nan Kai University of Technology in July this year.
